Great news east siders,
We are very excited to announce we will begin our new performance classes tomorrow evening. Classes will be Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:30pm. There is limited space. Only 15 spots will be available and it will be first come first serve.
Coach, what are the performances classes?
Glad you asked.
The classes will be focused on the performance aspect of training for the sport of CrossFit. There will be a lot more volume as well as additional accesory work that will compliment the existing CrossFit Programming.
Programming will be laid out in 5 week blocks with week 6 taking a mandatory De-load week. The programming will be progressive so if you miss a workout you MUST make it up on your own time.
Coach are these classes for everyone?
This will not be a normal class. Therefore we do have certain guidelines to maintain safety and structure.
Anyone registering for this class must
Have 6 months or more CrossFit class experience
Must be fully capable of performing all of the essential lifts and gymnasnastics movements that will take place in this class
(snatch, clean & jerk, squat, press, pull ups, toes to bar, HSPU)
Athlete’s Goals must meet that of the program (CrossFit as a sport)
What if I dont meet the critea but really want to compete and get better?
Thats awesome and I love to hear that! Harness that amazing energy and look to keep improving. We want to encourage every member of EVF to continue to take our CrossFit classes and continue to focus on becoming more efficient. Focus on your form daily, practice during open gym time, track your results, continue to plug the holes in your fitness game.
If your not there yet, I must ask you to have patience. Becoming fit takes time, and becoming more efficient with the demands of CrossFit as a sport takes even longer.
If your on the fence shoot me a message or talk to one of your coaches privately. Were all on the same page when it comes to helping each and every one of you achieve your goals.
Coach what do I do on the days when there are no performance classes?
Great question. Continue to take class. During any strength portions, I ask that you skip the strength piece and focus on your mobility drills that we will provide you through out class. We dont want anyone over doing it and therefore possibly injuring themselves. A good dose of 360 on off days is a great way to supplement.
The programming will be available at the gym as all the coaches have access to it. We will not go live with this programming on any form of media. This programming is in house only.
Coach what about the weekends?
You are all on point with great questions. There will be a day 3 and it can be done during open gym times on Saturdays and Sundays. It will be on the board.
