A Note From Coach Beau
Dear EVF community,
I would like to take this opportunity to explain my abrupt and extended absence. I’ve been diagnosed with stage 3 testicular cancer and have spent the last three weeks talking to specialists and having multiple tests done at cancer centers in Philadelphia and NYC. The good news is IT IS TREATABLE and the prognosis is good.
I will be starting chemotherapy treatment this week at Sloan-Kettering and will be completing four cycles. I am getting treated in the city and hope to continue to be a part of the community. I do not know how I will react to the chemo, but I hope to come back to coaching if I feel up to it and my doctors allow me. I fully intend to come back full-time when my treatment is complete and I’m healthy again.
