A Message from Eric
We are EVF Performance first, and CrossFit thereafter. We have always believed that strength creates opportunity and freedom. We believe that strength is so much more than just physical. Being strong also means having the ability to listen, understand, and have the ability to face anything life throws at you.
In our strength, we have the capacity to not only take great care of ourselves but also care for our friends, neighbors, and community. There was absolutely no strength in what Glassman said, no honor, no love for others. We stand firm in denouncing what was said by Glassman, and those ideologies do not coincide with EVF. Hate, bigotry, racism, and prejudice of any kind will NEVER be tolerated here.
We should always treat each other as we would like to be treated ourselves.
In doing so, we have built an inclusive family that helps foster growth physically, spiritually, and emotionally. You have our commitment that we will continue to learn and listen to see if there is more we can do to ensure that we protect our inherent values that all are created equal.
We are taking a breath and listening. CrossFit has brought great people to us and those people have become part of our EVF family. Whether we keep our affiliation with CrossFit or not remains to be seen as we determine our next steps. We hope CFHQ sees the err in their leadership and acts appropriately. Regardless, EVF will remain unchanged in what we believe in. Let us come together as a community to make tomorrow stronger than yesterday.
We are always #strongertogether.
