A note from Coach Brandon
Over 2 years ago, I walked into an unfinished CrossFit Columbus Circle and shook Eric Von Frohlich’s hand for the first time. That moment kicked off a 2-year journey coaching novice and experienced CrossFitters and watching them develop into forces to be reckoned with. CrossFit Columbus Circle and CrossFit Upper East side became a place for me to call home.
I quickly fell in love with coaching here. The athletes put their hearts and souls on the floor every day they walk in. It has been my pleasure and honor coaching EVF athletes. The strength and conditioning gains that I have seen at EVF make me proud to be a coach and should make every EVF athlete proud of themselves and their work.
However, there comes a time for some when they must move on. When they must take a risk and do what they thought they were meant to do from the start. It is with much excitement — and yet some sadness — that I am going to open my own CrossFit affiliate in New Jersey. It is a truly bittersweet moment in my life.
Over the next month I will be joining CFCC and CFUES members on Saturdays to do the Open WODs and say my farewells. I also hope we can all get together for a little send off WOD and beer.
Thank you to Eric, Debra, the entire EVF staff and, of course, all the EVF athletes for making the last two years of my life amazing!
