A note from Coach Nicole
EVF,
It’s been almost 2 years that I have been working with the EVF team as the Upper East Side head coach. During this amazing time, I am proud to say I’ve gotten to know each and every member of this gym … your strengths and weaknesses, your highs and lows, and your limitations and occasional ailments. It’s been humbling for me to work with many of you from your first days in On-Ramp, then help you get through your first classes.
To see great improvements in movement, and the coinciding gains of strength with so many of you, reminds me why I chose this career path as my second career. My memory is long and there are many moments I can now sit back and smile about when considering how far many of you have come.
In my 2 years of leading the coaching team, I can say I am proud to work alongside each of you. We truly all learn from each other — whether it be sharing advice on technical movements and cues, sharing wardrobe/accessory tips, or working out and supporting each other (in and out of the gym). We as a team have something special. We have a small, close-knit group of dedicated, passionate coaches that truly care about our members and care about each other; that is a tall order to fill and thank you for filling it.
As I reflect on my tenure, I am indeed a gratified “gym mom.” It is on such a high note that I am proudly passing the head coach baton to Jenna, effective July 18, to spend more time as head coach at home watching my daughter grow up.
Jenna will be taking on more behind the scenes responsibilities that the head coach role entails, and I will be doing some additional programming. I have no intentions of leaving my EVF family and will be coaching my regular schedule after some vacation time in August.
Thank you to Eric, Deb and the management staff at EVF for trusting me in this role these past 2 years. I would not have been half as successful if it were not for the talented team supporting me. Please help me congratulate Jenna as she assumes the role of head coach!
