Stroke is the No. 1 cause of preventable disability in the US. Join us in for a fun team workout, learn more about the risk of stroke and how to prevent, recognize and treat it this Saturday during regular class times.
The theme of the day: BE FAST. Join us Saturday to learn more about recognizing the systems of a stroke by assessing Balance, Eyes, Face, Arm, Speech and Time from EVF member and neurosurgeon Hazem.
While donations are not required, this fundraising event will benefit the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association for the advancement of stroke care throughout the world.
Warm Up
2 rounds:
5 dislocates
5 PVC v-ups
5 superman pass thrus
10 OHS
Barbell Warm Up
3 sets:
3 hang snatch deadlifts
3 hang snatch pulls
3 hang muscle snatch
3 hang power snatch
3 snatch balance
3 hang snatch
Start with empty bar and add weight each set.
Strength
12 minute EMOM
Hang snatch x 2
Increase weight every 4 minutes.
No heavier than 80%.
Conditioning
4 rounds for time:
20 lateral burpees over bar
15 deadlifts (155/105)
10 front squats (155/105)
