Wednesday, Sept. 2 CrossFit Workout of the Day

A big EVF congratulations to our newest coach Jared Tunkel on his first place win over the weekend at Atlantic City’s Europa Throwdown!

I am very excited to announce that Jared will be coaching Tuesday mornings! Jared has called EVF his CF home for a year, coming to us from CrossFit Revenge and Crossfit Mohawk Valley, where he has been a competitive CrossFitter for about 5 years. Jared also played NCAA soccer while pursuing his Bachelor’s and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Utica College.

He has spent the last year practicing as a sports physical therapist and licensed Graston specialist at the US Athletic Training Center in Manhattan. It was during this time he decided to pursue his love for CrossFit and utilize his functional sports rehabilitation and training to help our EVF athletes improve their lifts, gymnastics and functional movement.

When he isn’t coaching, training and pushing himself and his training partners (me included), you’ll find Jared eating his favorite PB&B burger at Five Mile Stone, or devouring his daily pint of ice cream. Be sure to stop him and introduce yourself when you see him!

20/15 calorie row
25 AbMat sit-ups
*2 minutes rest between rounds

10 push-ups or piked push-ups
15 calorie row
25 AbMat sit-ups
*2 minutes rest between rounds
