Winter Throwdown Events 1, 2 & 3
Event 1
10 minutes to establish a heavy complex …
Complex #1:
1 clean + 1 hang clean + 1 front squat
Complex #2:
1 snatch + 2 overhead squats
Each station will have one men’s and one women’s bar. One partner will complete the clean complex and the other will complete the snatch complex. Partners will alternate attempts.
Event 2
8 minute AMRAP:
8 deadlifts (205/135)
6 DB hang clean & press (50/35 – 3 each arm)
4 bar-facing burpees
*Partners will alternate rounds
Any scaling of the deadlift weight will result in an 8 rep penalty. Any scaling of the dumbbell weight will result in a 6 rep penalty. If both are scaled, the penalty will be 15 reps.
Event 3
For time
30 calorie row (15 each)
40 toes to bar
50 hang power cleans (95/65)
60 box jump overs (20)
70 double unders
Partners can split reps however they choose unless otherwise specified. One partner can complete all reps of one exercise if they wish.
Any scaling of the movements or weight will result in a :30 penalty per scale (ie, if toes to bar, box jumps, hang power clean weight, and double unders are scaled, that will be a 2:00 penalty).
