How/when did you get involved in CrossFit? What has motivated you to stick with it?
I started in December 2015. The fact that we all work out as a team/group of people, flexible hours, the community and location all called my name.

What do you enjoy most about being a member at EVF?
The community. The people around here are so nice, and everyone supports and pushes each other. The instructors/coaches are amazing! Always know when you need that push, and they are always there for you (to help you out and make you cry).

Do you remember your first workout? Looking back how did it go?
What I do remember, after the first class, is the happy feeling at finding an amazing place to break a sweat and take my mind off of everything else that’s going on in life, especially the phone.

What were your goals when you first started? How have they changed?
I saw the heavy weights people were lifting and I was telling myself “I will be there soon, too.” My goal is always to love and enjoy what I do and be the best at it. I love the place and am still en route to be the best. Still a long way, but I drive safely, lol.

How have you grown in that time — health, body, mind, etc.?
I gained some muscle, look more fit, and most importantly feel stronger and more confident than I ever have before.

Favorite lift and WOD?
I love pull-ups. WOD: Anything that makes you cry a little, because those give you the best high right after.

Least favorite movement and workout?
Rowing. Hate it. Thrusters. Hate them too. To those, who love them: your medal’s in the mail!

What drives you through the door each day?
The people/athletes I look up to, and the coaches who keep me jealous.

Do you have any advice for new members?
Enjoy each work out, especially when you hate it. Stay in the moment and leave it all on the floor. Don’t worry about how you actually still have to walk home. Hopefully you live downhill.

What do you hope to achieve in the coming year?
My goal for this year is to complete the yearly workout at Rx level. I don’t care about the time. At this point just completing it would be awesome.
